World's biggest food fight La Tomatina 2010 begins in 5 days time

Tomato madness is about to hit Spain next Wednesday when the annual La Tomatina food fight festival starts. Westcountry press photographer Guy Harrop went to take photos a few years ago and found the experience truly insane. Firstly you are herded in your thousands into small streets lined with plastic, then trucks dump tons and tons of squishy tomatoes. Everyone rips everybody shirts off them and then you fight throwing tomatoes in insane bodily heat under the midday sun. They go everywhere after an hour of no escape you can make your way out and get hosed down by locals, have a beer, party or catch the train home. Westcountry food photographer's Dad has triple yolk egg surprise

My dad, Bob, was a hotelier for 25 years, before retirement, has cooked over 155,000 eggs and this morning as the eggs went into the pan for his daily English breakfast, there was a triple yolk egg.
Having grown up on a farm he has seen his fair share of eggs and cooked with them too, but the chances of  getting three yolks are apparently one out of every 25 million eggs. Needless to say it was the first triple egg he had ever seen. Pictured is the egg in the pan by westcountry pr and food photographer Guy Harrop.

Southwest food photographer goes sardine fishing in trawler off the Cornish coast

  

Westcountry press and food PR photographer back on land after night time Cornish sardine trawler fishing, Newlyn harbour, Cornwall. The Pilchard or Cornish sardine as it is now known has been fished for centuries off the Cornish coast , originally salted or pickled exports were regularly sent to Spain, Italy and France. 

Wedding fashion shoot image used as main picture on top bridal dress makers website

Wedding image shot by westcountry press and pr photographer Guy Harrop used as the main page intro for top Westcountry bridal wear designer Sarah Treble. The image was taken whilst on an ajoining shoot and after spotting an opportunity, Guy quickly jumped into action to take a couple of his own set ups before carrying on with his previous client brief. Guy travels all over the country and abroad with his work and was recently shooting some images at a wedding near Newcastle.

Trawler photoshoot traces fish from boat to leading Supermarket

Recently Westcountry PR photographer Guy Harrop has been undertaking several commissions for a leading supermarket photographing various suppliers. For Guy the sea and its fisherman is a personal passion and his fishing commissions have taken him all over the world. This was part of a shoot at Brixham harbour in Devon on board the trawler Carhelmar.
