Artist Damien Hirst's giant pregnant female sculpture arrives in Ilfracombe, Devon

A giant 65ft sculpture of a pregnant woman cast in bronze by artist Damien Hirst has finally arrived in Ilfracombe, Devon. The work, called 'Verity' weighs over 25 tonnes and depicts a pregnant naked woman holding a sword and bearing the scales of justice. Giant 'Verity' was made in over 40 individual castings pieced together and has undergone testing to ensure it was capable of withstanding the extreme force of high winds and sea spray. The piece of art will be installed at the front of Ilfracombe pier, where she will stand while on loan to North Devon Council for a period of 20 years.

Luxury house interior photography proves more popular across the Westcountry

This year Guy Harrop has been photographing lots of house interiors for clients keen on keeping their holiday accommodation portfolios up to date across the Westcountry. "The holiday letting business seems more competitive this year than ever. I think in the current financial climate, more people are diversifying into property lets and the more attractive the property looks the better the enquiries", said Guy.

Shooting a triathlon book in 2 days keeps the photographer's eye on the action.

Recently Westcountry photographer Guy Harrop has been shooting the latest Haynes triathlon manual with several of the world's best triathletes and sports models across locations in and around the South West UK. During his photographic career Guy has covered most sports including International rugby, football, basketball, surfing, hockey, running, climbing and he has also travelled around the world photographing kite surfing.

This time round the photo shoot was in the UK. Here were a few of the scenarios - bad weather, good weather, pool steamed up lenses, salt water, waves, wind and sand. 

Guy, was drenched several times during the photo shoots, had his kit covered in sand and salt water twice and with a couple of thousand images under his belt in under 2 days - couldn't be happier...well, apart from the editing.........

So many names for free range eggs, and they are endless, and the signs can be very boring. 
But sometimes they can really funny, make you stop in your tracks, smile and buy eggs, even if you don't want to. This is one food photographer Guy Harrop passed the other day on his way to a food shoot in South Devon. Despite being closed, the sign put a smile on the passing motorists' faces.
