As a busy PR and portrait photographer you meet and photograph hundreds of people every month - that is the beauty of your job. Work can be so rewarding. This month I have seen my images on book covers, in National and International newspapers and magazines, on billboards and buses. This morning I was photographing a wise and knowledgable Dutchman who travels the world with his favourite items, his beanie and boots. We drank coffee and chatted about his lifelong travels.He is off back to Holland then Tasmania, eventually New Zealand for a few months after Christmas. Both a published writer and traveller his face oozed wisdom, I was enchanted and also humbled by his knowledge and kindness as he stared at my camera. As photographers, we are so lucky to gain the experiences we do and meet who we meet. A photograph can be priceless and is a moment in time we have captured forever.

Meerkats at Exmoor Zoo in Devon get a cooling off treat of seafood and sprat lollies as the hot weather conitinued through Easter weekend. Guy, who spends time abroad shooting commissions and stock has a growing collection of travel images which he will be uploading in the next couple of months. "In Switzerland there is beauty around every corner and the pure mountain air, hiking, wine growing and scenery cannot be beaten", said Guy.

James May and Oz Clarke, prepare to take on German train enthusiasts Gerrit Braun and half-brother Sebastian Drechsler, from the Miniatur Wunderland model railway attraction, Hamburg,  in a miniature train race along the Tarka Trail from Barnstaple to Bideford at the weekend in Devon. The spin-off show to the BBC2 series, James May's Toy Stories, saw the teams race three model trains along nine miles of track between the towns' stations. North Devon pub finds novel way of advertising its Royal wedding party

Photo by Guy Harrop 14/04/10. A pub in North Devon has found a novel way of advertising it's Royal Wedding party by putting a picture of Wills and Kate behind a trotter alternative robin reliant. Landlady Jane Pearce, of The Wrey Arms in Barnstaple, who remembers the Queen's Silver Jubilee is hoping to replicate that same sense of family community with their alternative Royal Party on Friday April 29th. Said Jane," Combining the two great British traditions of a Royal Wedding and a Robin Reliant seemed the obvious choice and it is certainly proving popular with the locals and visitors to the area."
