Tomato madness is about to hit Spain next Wednesday when the annual La Tomatina food fight festival starts. Westcountry press photographer Guy Harrop went to take photos a few years ago and found the experience truly insane. Firstly you are herded in your thousands into small streets lined with plastic, then trucks dump tons and tons of squishy tomatoes. Everyone rips everybody shirts off them and then you fight throwing tomatoes in insane bodily heat under the midday sun. They go everywhere after an hour of no escape you can make your way out and get hosed down by locals, have a beer, party or catch the train home.
