Cheese rolling festival cancelled due to crowd safety fears

The annual cheese rolling competition at Cooper's Hill, Brockworth, Gloucester which attracts thousands of visitors each year has been banned this year due to safety fears of spectators. The mad event where participants hurtle themselves down a steep hill chasing a rolling cheese is held annually and last year attracted over 15,000 spectators from all over the world.
