The end of the holidays leaves French seaside resort looking derelict

In summer the south of France can be very busy. Traffic queues, one way streets and the laid back atmosphere can often gridlock small seaside towns. But in winter, all the tourists have gone, the summer homes are boarded up leaving coastal ghost towns. Gruissan is one of those places. The houses feel abandoned, the town seems empty and rows and rows of holiday homes are left to face the winter elements. Gruissan is a seaside resort and a village in the urban area of Narbonne.
