Westcountry food photographer Guy Harrop's Croatian food images are soon to be online for purchase through International food picture libraries. Guy, who specializes in food shoots and PR has been colating several series of images from across Europe and winning several International awards along the way. Said Guy, "Styling and making food photography work can be so much fun especially when you see the end results published worldwide". Guy is currently making sets, cooking and planning a series of Christmas images in his studio in Devon in between his daily PR and commisioned work.

Guy, who specialises in food images for a range of clients across the UK has been shooting food for several years now, and last year two of his reportage cheese images won him two International awards. Guy said, " It is great when you can get into the texture of the food and the cheeses we have in the South West are certainly good".

Constant emails, photo downloading and editing also leaves us with a smaller amount of time to photograph, which is what we do best. 15 years ago we had film and a darkroom, now with modern digital slr cameras everyone is a photographer. Being a professional means keeping and thinking ahead of the game and constantly pushing yourself to make yourself stand out. We do embrace technology and we never stop learning and enjoying.

Portrait and PR photographer wins International award following on from last year's success

South West PR portrait photographer Guy Harrop is celebrating winning another International accolade for one of his portrait images of a 4 month old baby girl in the International Aperture Awards 2010. The shoot which was commissioned last month by a young family just made the deadline by 1 hour with Guy rushing to process after back to back jobs all day. Said Guy, " Time was an issue as I was aware of this deadline closing in. Fortunately I was able to process in time and send it across for the competition which is sponsored by Nikon Australia. This news is great as it all adds to my tally of 4 International awards I won last year and being Internationally recognised again goes hand in hand as the business grows from strength to strength ."
